Another Round of Cuts

The Braves cut five more off the roster.

The five players cut were;

• Mike Minor
• Jordan Schafer
• Diory Hernandez
• Juan Abreu
  
• Jairo Ascencio
  

All five were optioned to triple A Gwinnett.

Juan Abreu and Jairo Ascencio had terrific springs. Good to know that there are potentially good bullpen options in the minors in case somebody needs moving.

The linked article mentions:

Ed Lucas and Brandon Hicks remain for a bench spot.

Scott Proctor and Christhian Martinez remain for final relief spot.

What about Brooks Conrad? Why does this guy not get mentioned? Why does he deserve to lose games for the Braves yet again? Why do game winning home runs count but costly errors that lose games not count? He's going to have to win a handful of games in the 9th and not commit any errors this season to get my support.

What about the remaining Outfield spots? I believe Joe Mather, Matt Young, and Wilkin Ramirez still remain.
