The Braves won their match up vs the Boston Redsox Wednesday. Final score was 4-3. Overall a good game, the offense showed up this time collecting twelve hits total.
- Tommy Hanson allowed a home run to the first batter he faced, but then settled down and had himself a nice session. Five innings pitched, two hits, one earned run, and five strikeouts.
- George Sherrill, who the Braves signed this off season for veteran presence in the bullpen, hasn't looked too pretty this spring. Perhaps it's because he's still adjusting to being on a new team or it takes him a while to get back in shape. I still have hopes that he will be used only as a LOOGY or I believe "lefty one out guy." Basically he is a left handed specialist that will only pitch against left handed batters. Two earned runs and a walk in one inning pitched was his line today.
- Peter Moylan and Eric O'Flaherty both pitched a scoreless inning.
- Martin Prado was 2-4 with a run.
- Chipper Jones was 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Tim Hudson will pitch tomorrow vs. the Washington Nationals.
