Cardinals Shut Out Braves

Wait what? The Cardinals AGAIN? Yeah, the Braves played the Cardinals and lost 0-4 for today's game. Atlanta's batters decided not to show up this spring game (tired of the Cardinals?). The pitching was actually pretty good, its the FOUR errors in the game that lead to three runs being scored. This team hasn't improved defensively I'm afraid. One of the errors was by the defensive whiz Brooks Conrad. If he makes the team this year...

- Derek Lowe pitched this time, going five innings, giving up four hits, one earned run, a walk, and striking out one. That's a good outing.

- Scott Proctor, who I don't really care for, pitched an inning, giving up three hits and three runs (unearned due to errors).

- Craig Kimbrel looks to be back in normal routine. Pitching a scoreless inning and striking out the side.

- Jonny Ventures pitched a scoreless inning. Seems to be the norm for him, as he still possesses an ERA of 0.00.

- Nothing worth mentioning in the hitting department.

* Tommy Hanson gets the start vs the Boston Redsox for Wednesday's game.
