6-7 was the score as Atlanta got themselves another spring training win. Although the score doesn't suggest this, this was a good game in many ways for some of the players. There were four errors however, but only one starter committed an error and that was Chipper Jones.
- Tim Hudson pitched five scoreless innings giving up two hits and striking out five batters. That looks great, but I have to mention his four walks. He had a little trouble with control but eventually figured it out.
- Kenshin Kawakami pitched two scoreless innings with one hit allowed and a strike out. Good showcasing!
- Scott Proctor continues to pitch his way off the team (good). He pitched two thirds of an inning and 5 runs scored. Only one run was earned, so I can't fault him for the errors his teammates made that allowed for the other four runs to cross the plate. He did walk two batters as well.
- Nate McLouth continues to rake this spring going 2-4 with a run.
- Chipper is on fire, he was 2-4 with a run and two RBI. One of the hits was a home run.
- Jason Heyward with a sophomore slump this season? No way! He's hitting .440 this spring. He contributed by going 1-1 with a run, walk, and a two run home run.
- Freddie Freeman was 1-3 with a run and walk. He copied Jones and Heyward and hit a blast as well for two RBI.
