The Braves played and lost their final game verses the Mets this spring. The Braves committed a grand total of five errors this game. Good thing none of them were made by any of the Braves starters. Go ahead, take a wild guess as to who one of the players that contributed in the error festival was...
If you thought of Brooks Conrad then I congratulate you.
I realized that I'm getting tired of spring training games. Since it's officially Sunday (1:13 AM) there is only four more days till opening day!
- Derek Lowe got hit around a bit. Not a big deal. Looks like he a little bit of an issue with control as he walked three batters in four innings giving up seven hits and four earned runs.
- Venters pitched an inning. He allowed a hit and run, however since he made one of the errors, the run wasn't earned therefor keeping his spring ERA at 0.00.
- Freddie Freeman was 2-2 with a walk.
Tomorrow the Braves will play the Phillies. Roy Halladay will be on the mound for the Phillies and the Braves will supposedly play their starters. Not a bad idea, it gets them a little more experience verses last year's National League Cy Young winner.
